Branding Mini Sessions: Prep Tips

I’m SO excited for our branding mini session on Thursday 27th Feb, 2020! Here are some final details and prep tips to get you ready for your session:

Location – Eclectic.Style – our amazing host is Deb
Address: 6 Glenside Place, Bridgeman Downs

Please plan to arrive 5-10 minutes before your scheduled session so we can start on time. Please do not hesitate to contact me (0408 727 790) if you can’t find the location. Session times start every 45 minutes and run for 30 minutes so if I don’t answer straight away, I’m probably finishing up with a client and will call you right back.

Outfit Tips

Choose 1 outfit that represents your signature look. A professional/business look or a lifestyle (casual) look. You can bring a piece of clothing to layer (like a cardigan) for variety. If you can change clothes quickly, feel free to bring a 2nd outfit (but just remember we only have 30 minutes max).

Choose on-brand colours and clothes that represent your personality and best self!

Avoid wearing overwhelming or distracting patterns. Having simple options with accessories is always a safe bet.

Feel free to be bold with accessories (necklace, shoes, handbag etc).

Avoid wearing horizontal stripes as they can distort when the photo is minimized and create a look of extra width in your figure.

If you wear glasses, choose a non-reflective lenses or coating to avoid glare.

Try on all of your outfits in a mirror (move and walk in them) and make sure that you look and feel comfortable in what you’re wearing 🙂

Prop Tips

Props are one of the best ways to show off your personality!! They can be as simple as the tools of your trade (laptop, camera, phone) or fun personal items that you love having in your life! Adding these into your photos can give your audience an idea of what it’s like to work with you. Other examples include a notebook, coffee mug, office supplies, planner, client gifts, magazines etc) – and you only need to bring a few for the mini session.

Hair and Make Up Tips

It’s completely up to you how “natural” or “glam” you’d like to come across in your branding photos but either way, I highly recommend having your makeup done for a polished look! No need for a formal updo (unless that’s your style)! You’ll want these photos to represent the best version of your everyday self.

Final Tip

While planning your shoot, keep your brand colours in mind! Adding pops of your brand colour into your outfit and props can bring your look together perfectly!

“I finally had a moment to look at the photos last night. Just wanted to say how thrilled I am with them! To get that many great quality shots is outstanding, I love every single one of them – and being photos of me, that’s highly unusual!

Thank you so much, it’s exactly what I needed. I’m amazed at how easy it all was and you’ve captured the exact style I wanted for my brand. Loved all your suggestions for different poses”.
