I booked with Lisa of With Every Heartbeat Photography for a number of reasons:
- I like to work with Photographers that are reasonably close to where I reside as this gives me the confidence that they’ll know the proposed areas I’m wanting to have the shoot done at; and
- I was aware of her online presence via Instagram and Facebook and had admired the images she’d posted on her blog and through social media.
Throughout the booking process I found Lisa to be easy to deal with and responsive to the messages I sent her via Facebook and email. Her pricing was extremely good value. The hardest part was narrowing down the final images. I did not expect to like so many images! I wanted them all.
When we met Lisa at the shoot location, my fiancé and I immediately felt at ease in her company. She’s softly spoken and has an easy going nature to her that I feel will be a valuable asset to my nerves on the wedding day. She made us feel like we could direct the shoot as much or as little as we wanted.
Her camera is quiet and because of this, my fiancé and I were able to relax quickly and have a laugh with each other throughout the shoot. We both just looked into each other’s eyes, told jokes and smiled. For most of the afternoon, we didn’t realise that we were being photographed because there wasn’t a loud ‘click’ sound that you sometimes associate with photographers. I think this natural, carefree feeling is evident in the images she took of us. At no time did we feel uncomfortable, stiff or overly ‘staged’.
I would have no hesitation to recommend Lisa from With Every Heartbeat Photography. I look forward to having her shoot our wedding next year and to working with her to capture the personalities and smiles of our family in a group photo shoot.
